Terms for using the Ridge City FC website. These terms preserve rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
About the website
This website is operated by Ridge City Football Club (Ridge City FC), based at 8 Nii Bonne Crescent, Dzorwulu, Accra, Ghana. Contact info@ridgecityfc.com. These terms govern website use. By using the site, you agree to these terms to the extent a valid agreement is formed under applicable law. Our Privacy Policy explains data handling; accepting website terms is not blanket consent to optional tracking or marketing.
Permitted use
You may browse, share links and use the site for lawful personal or legitimate club-related purposes. Do not introduce malware, impersonate others, harass anyone, submit unlawful material, attempt unauthorised access, evade security, interfere with service or collect personal information from the site for unsolicited contact. Automated access must respect applicable law, access controls and the rights of players and other people.
Content and intellectual property
Unless otherwise indicated, club branding and website material belong to the club or relevant licensors. Viewing the site does not transfer ownership or grant merchandising, endorsement or commercial reuse rights. You may link to publicly available pages in a fair way that does not imply endorsement. Obtain permission before commercial use of the crest, player imagery or other protected material, subject always to statutory exceptions and lawful quotation. Third-party marks remain their owners’ property.
Enquiries trials and children
Sending an enquiry, application or expression of interest does not guarantee a trial, place, employment, scholarship, contract, visa or selection. Participation requires separate confirmation, eligibility checks and any relevant agreement, fee information and safeguarding procedures. Parents or guardians should handle enquiries for children and supervise their use of the site as appropriate. Do not send unnecessary identity, medical or confidential safeguarding material through a general enquiry. Contact the club for a suitable channel.
Information and availability
We aim to keep information accurate, but fixtures, results, venues, prices shown for information and programme details may change. Confirm important arrangements with the club or organiser before travelling or committing expenditure. We may correct errors and suspend parts of the site for maintenance, security or operational reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted access. This does not affect duties or remedies that applicable law makes mandatory.
Store tickets payments and services
These are website-use terms, not a substitute for terms of sale. Any purchase, ticket, donation, event booking or paid programme must identify the contracting seller/provider and provide applicable product/service details, total price, delivery/performance terms, cancellation/refund rights and complaint arrangements before commitment. Separate transaction terms apply where supplied and agreed. Statutory consumer rights, including applicable withdrawal, faulty-goods and refund rights, remain unaffected. Do not treat an enquiry or cart interaction alone as confirmation of an accepted purchase.
External services and links
Links and embedded content may lead to third-party services, stores, payment providers or social platforms. Review their terms and privacy notices. A link does not by itself create a club endorsement or make us responsible for all external content. This clause does not remove responsibility that the law places on us for our own services, representations or choice of provider.
Material you send us
Only send information and material you are entitled to share. For an enquiry, you permit us to use the material as reasonably necessary to assess and respond to it. You retain your ownership. Sending a photograph, player story or enquiry does not grant us an unlimited publicity licence. Publicity and use of children’s images require the appropriate separate authority and safeguards. We may decline or remove unlawful material and investigate misuse, subject to applicable rights.
Liability and mandatory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence where exclusion is unlawful, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those protections, we are responsible for loss caused by our breach as required by applicable law. We do not assume responsibility for loss caused solely by matters outside our reasonable control or unlawful misuse by others. There is no blanket waiver of your legal remedies.
Law disputes and complaints
Ghanaian law governs these website-use terms, subject to any mandatory protections of the law applicable to you. Please raise concerns first at info@ridgecityfc.com so we can try to resolve them. This does not prevent a complaint to a regulator or proceedings in a court you are legally entitled to use, including mandatory consumer jurisdiction rights. No compulsory arbitration or waiver of collective remedies is imposed by these website terms.
Changes and remaining provisions
Updated terms will be posted here with a new date. Changes apply prospectively and do not retrospectively remove rights or alter a completed transaction without a lawful basis and any necessary agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. A delay in exercising a right does not by itself waive it. Read these terms with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

How Ridge City FC handles website enquiries, personal information, cookies and similar technologies.
Who we are and how to contact us
Ridge City Football Club (Ridge City FC, “we”, “us” or “the club”) is based in Accra, Ghana. For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email info@ridgecityfc.com, addressed to the Privacy Contact, or write to 8 Nii Bonne Crescent, Dzorwulu, Accra, Ghana. We are responsible for deciding how information submitted directly to the club through this website is used. A separate provider may be responsible for information collected on its own website.
Scope of this notice
This notice covers browsing www.ridgecityfc.com, contacting us, and website enquiries about teams, trials, volunteering, partnerships and club activities. Player registration, employment, medical care, safeguarding casework, purchases and third-party platforms may need additional notices at the point of collection. This notice does not replace them. Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) applies as relevant. EU/EEA, UK and other local rights apply where the relevant law covers our processing; visiting a Ghanaian website alone does not automatically make every foreign law applicable.
Information and sources
Information you choose to provide can include your name, contact details, enquiry, organisation, role, football background and correspondence. If you enquire for a child, it may include the child’s name, age group and the parent’s or guardian’s contact details. Please provide only what is necessary. The website and its hosting services receive technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser/device information, requested pages, timestamps and error or security logs. Cookies, local storage and embedded media are addressed in our Cookie Policy. Information may also come from an authorised parent, representative, football body or public match report; where required, we explain the source and use when first contacting you.
Providing information
Ordinary browsing does not require you to send a recruitment or volunteer enquiry. An initial enquiry is voluntary; without sufficient contact details or information about your request, we may be unable to respond or assess it. Please do not send identity or medical documents at this stage. If a later process requires information by law or contract, the collection notice must identify the required fields, the reason and the consequence of not providing them.
Purposes and legal grounds
We use enquiry and correspondence information to answer you and take steps you request before an agreement; where applicable, this is necessary for a contract or pre-contractual steps. We use proportionate technical and correspondence records to run and secure the website, prevent misuse and manage ordinary club enquiries, relying where permitted on legitimate interests in operating the club and protecting visitors, balanced against your rights. Legal obligations may require recordkeeping, responding to authorities or safeguarding action. Optional marketing and optional tracking require consent where applicable. A request for information is not consent to unrelated marketing. Where consent is the basis, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful use. We do not use these terms of website access as blanket consent to processing.
Children players and sensitive information
Parents or guardians should make recruitment or participation enquiries for children and help them understand how their information is used. We do not require children to submit medical records, identity documents or safeguarding reports through a general website enquiry. Contact us first for an appropriate channel. If health or other sensitive information is necessary, we must identify a valid legal basis and any additional legal condition, provide suitable notice and safeguards, and obtain explicit consent when that is the applicable condition. Child consent thresholds differ by country. Publishing a player’s photograph or profile requires an appropriate lawful basis and safeguarding assessment; contact us to raise an objection or request review/removal. Player participation and publicity permissions should be recorded separately.
Sharing and service providers
The website uses Zoho Sites for hosting and website delivery. Club communications may be handled using Zoho Mail. Authorised staff and service providers may access information only as needed for their roles. Relevant information may be shared with advisers, football authorities, event partners or emergency and safeguarding authorities when necessary and lawful; we should identify any additional recipient at collection where required. Third-party media, social platforms and external stores process information under their own notices when you interact with them. We do not grant third parties a general right to reuse your enquiry for unrelated advertising.
International handling
The club is in Ghana, and hosting or other providers may process information in other countries depending on the service and account location. We have not represented that all information stays in Ghana, the EU or the UK. Where EU/EEA or UK transfer rules apply, transfers requiring safeguards must use an applicable adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards (including the relevant UK mechanism where needed), or another lawful permitted route, with additional measures where required. Contact us for the destination and relevant safeguard for your information and how to obtain a copy, subject to lawful redactions.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Enquiries are retained while being handled and for a proportionate follow-up or dispute period; recruitment information only for the relevant process and any separately agreed future consideration; marketing information until withdrawal or it is no longer needed; technical records for a proportionate operational/security period. Legal, safeguarding and dispute requirements may justify longer retention of specific records. We then delete or anonymise information, subject to controlled backup expiry. Contact us for the period or criteria applicable to your record. Access should be limited to authorised people, with appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. No online service can promise absolute security.
Your right to object
You may object at any time to use of your personal information for direct marketing, including related profiling; we must stop that use. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your circumstances. We must stop the processing unless the applicable law permits it to continue, for example because of compelling overriding grounds or legal claims. Email info@ridgecityfc.com and state the use you object to.
Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may request information and access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing, including direct marketing. You may withdraw consent at any time. Rights are subject to applicable conditions and exemptions. Email info@ridgecityfc.com with your request; we may ask for proportionate identity verification, without collecting unnecessary documents. We respond within the applicable deadline—normally one month for requests governed by EU/UK GDPR, with any lawful extension explained. There is normally no fee. You may complain to Ghana’s Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.org.gh (https://dataprotection.org.gh/)) and, where applicable, your EU/EEA supervisory authority, the UK Information Commissioner (ico.org.uk (https://ico.org.uk/)) or another competent local regulator, without contacting us first.
Automated decisions and other countries
This notice does not authorise automated recruitment or other decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. Any such process needs a separate explanation and applicable safeguards before use. If you have rights under another country’s law, contact us to exercise them; we will assess the request under the law that applies. State-specific US, Canadian and other notices may be needed if the club’s actual activities bring those laws into scope. We do not claim a universal compliance certification.
Updates
We review this notice as the website and our practices change. The date above identifies this version. Material new processing requires appropriate notice and, where necessary, fresh consent before it begins. See also our Website Terms and Conditions and Cookie Policy.

How cookies and similar technologies work on our website, and how to manage your choices.
Cookies what these technologies do
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Similar technologies include local/session storage, tracking pixels and identifiers used by embedded media. They can support security, remember a preference or measure activity. The rules depend on the technology, purpose and applicable law—not simply its name.
Cookies website services and categories
This site is delivered using Zoho Sites and associated content-delivery services. Strictly necessary technologies support requested functions, security, traffic routing and consent choices. Optional preference technologies remember convenience settings; analytics measure use; advertising technologies can track activity for promotion. A category description does not mean every technology in that category is deployed. External video or social content may connect to third-party services and transmit technical information when loaded or used.
Cookies your choice
Use the cookie banner’s Manage and Decline controls, where displayed, to choose optional categories. You can revisit your choice using the consent control on the site. Optional technologies that require consent must remain off until you actively agree; refusing them should not prevent ordinary browsing. Consent to one category is not consent to another. Necessary technologies do not require consent where the relevant exception applies. We must assess the exception for each purpose, not assume that all hosting or analytics technologies are necessary.
Cookies thirdparty content and browser controls
Before optional third-party content is loaded, consent must be obtained where required. Clicking through to a separate service also subjects your visit to that service’s own cookie and privacy information. You can inspect, block or delete stored website data using your browser settings. Deleting consent storage may cause the banner to appear again; blocking necessary storage may affect requested features. Browser controls supplement, and do not replace, the site’s consent responsibilities.
Cookies specific technologies and duration
Names, providers and expiry periods can change with the site’s enabled features and third-party content. Ask info@ridgecityfc.com for details of a technology you encounter, including its purpose and duration. We are completing the technical inventory and consent checks for the newly connected website; this notice is not a representation that every browser-stored identifier has already been audited. Any optional technology whose purpose or consent behaviour has not been verified should remain disabled until it has been assessed. We will update this notice with the verified inventory.
